Updating existing VM from version 15 to 16:

1. Update VMware Workstation 15.X to 16.0
2. Right-click on the VM in question
3. Go to Manage, Click Change Hardware Compatibility
4. For Wizard Window, click Next, Change Workstation 15.x (any version) to Workstation 16.x
5. Select "Alter this virtual machine"
6. Click Finish
7. Click Close
8. Start VM
9. Update VMware Tools and Restart

Minimum Settings:

• Memory: 4 GB
• Hard Disk: 70 GB
• Processors: 2

Recommended Settings:

• Memory: 6 GB
• Hard Disk: 100 GB
• Processors: 6

Install Guide

1. Download a Windows ISO of your choice, we have provided Windows 7 and Windows 10 ISOs here and here.
2. Download and install VMware Workstation Pro 16 (download link can be found above)
3. File -> New Virtual Machine
4. Press Next until the Guest Operating System Page and select your Windows ISO:
   
5. Choose Windows 7 Ultimate, the other fields can be skipped
   
6. Choose your location and VM name, and press next
7. Choose your processor count, recommend: 4-6
   
8. Choose your Memory amount, recommended: 6-8GB
9. Continue to press next until the Specify Disk Capacity page, recommended: 100GB
   
10. Continue to press next until prompted to Customize Hardware, then choose Customize Hardware:
    
11. Set the Display settings to use Stretch mode, then press Finish:
    
12. The VM should automatically install Windows from this point, you may need to manually install VMware Tools after the Windows installation is complete.
